Bridgestone and Einride have established a collaboration to develop innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for electric and autonomous Class 8 cars. Bridgestone will be able to integrate its advanced mobility technologies into Einride's onboard vehicle platforms, allowing Einride to collect new layers of safety and efficiency-related data from Bridgestone's smart-sensing tyres. The companies will collaborate to make large commercial vehicle fleets more sustainable in the future.
Bridgestone will become Einride's official U.S. launch partner and exclusive tyre supplier in the U.S. market as part of the arrangement. In exchange, Einride will deliver connected electric trucks and digital services to Bridgestone's US logistics network under a subscription arrangement. Bridgestone's electrified vehicle fleet is expected to grow over time, lowering the company's carbon footprint. The first truck will transfer Bridgestone tyre inventory between the company's commercial truck tyre manufacturing plant in LaVergne, Tennessee, and the Lebanon, Tennessee, distribution facility.
